
Carl Scholtz, CFA
Carl Scholtz joined Scholtz & Company as a Senior Analyst in 2012. His primary role involves fundamental investment research in multiple sectors (Healthcare, Industrial, Energy, and Materials) and coordination of Scholtz & Company’s overall research effort. Additionally, Carl assists with the firm’s compliance and marketing programs.
Prior to Scholtz & Company, Carl worked for four years as an Equity Analyst covering two sectors, Healthcare and Consumer Staples, for First Investors Management Corp (a large mutual fund company). He also spent several years with Deloitte & Touche as a consultant in their Transfer Pricing division.
Carl holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management (’08) and a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University (’03) where he graduated magna cum laude. Additionally, Carl was awarded his CFA charter in 2011.
He resides in New Canaan, CT with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys working out, tennis, golf, fishing, and playing with his kids. He is also an avid fan of the NY Giants, NY Knicks, and Georgetown Hoyas’ basketball program.
